TRAIL & TREAT - WIZARD OF OZ
Trail and Treat returns to Greenway Park on Friday, Oct. 25, 2024 for a one-of-a-kind Halloween experience in Charlestown. The City of Charlestown has partnered with Indiana University Southeast's Fine Arts class to present a Wizard of Oz-themed Trail and Treat through scenic Greenway Park! Talented artists have brought the characters and scenes from the classic film to life-size pieces of art! The Trail and Treat takes place from 5 to 7 p.m. at Greenway Park. A Movie in the Park, "Wizard of Oz," will show at 7 p.m. as well.

Join the trail at any spot in the park and walk the trail to visit the many booths. Concessions will be open.
The Penny Lane VW Photo Bus offers free commemorative photos from 5-8 p.m.

Community members, businesses, non-profits, and churches can help pass out candy at the event by setting up tables throughout the trail to distribute treats. Volunteers and vendors can register early by filling out an online form, or reach out to Parks Director Carrie Basham at 812-256-3422 ext. 6 or parks@cityofcharlestown.com to reserve a spot. If you'd like to donate candy, drop off contributions at City Hall during regular business hours.

HALLOWEEN MOVIE IN THE PARK
The classic film "Wizard of Oz" is a fairly tale of Dorothy and her dog Toto when they get swept away from their Kansas home by a tornado to the Land of Oz.
The 1939 film will be shown on a big screen in Greenway Park after trick or treating on Oct. 25 for a Movie in the Park at 7 p.m.

The film is rated G. Bring a chair and or a blanket!
TRADITIONAL TRICK OR TREATING
The City of Charlestown advises traditional trick or treating should take place on Oct. 31 between the hours of 6-9 pm. Please use the cautions provided by the CDC in regards to trick or treating.
